The match on action

Match on action is a type of editing that requires the film director to make the film as reality as possible for the audience. By keeping the same action from one shot to the other for example walking past a book shelf and picking up a book.

The 180 degree rule 

The 180 degree rule states that the camera is to remain perpendicular to the viewpoint of the scene
